In the main event of UFC 330, the Russian defeated Ian Machado Garry by unanimous decision and defended the welterweight championship belt for the first time.
The victory became Makhachev's 17th in a row in the UFC. He surpassed the achievement of Anderson Silva, who previously held the record with a streak of 16 wins.
