New format that caught on
The TMU championship in phygital martial arts took place in Tyumen – one of the most unusual tournaments in the region's student sports.
This is already the second such tournament in the region's history, where classic sambo combined with esports.
Two worlds – one winner
The competition format included:
sambo matches virtual fights in the game EA Sports UFC 5
Participants had to prove themselves both in real fights and in the digital space.

The organizers plan:
to expand the geography of participants to attract teams from vocational schools to increase the scale of the tournament
