On May 30, 2026, in Yekaterinburg at the 12,000-seat «UGMK-Arena», one of the most anticipated fights of the year will take place – absolute world champion Dmitry Bivol will defend his four belts (WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO) against German contender Michael Ayfert.
Bivol, who gained fame with his victory over Saul «Canelo» Alvarez and a series of bouts with Artur Beterbiev, will return to the ring in Russia for the first time in five years – his last fight in Yekaterinburg was in 2021 against Umar Salamov.
His opponent, Michael Ayfert, has Russian roots and over the last eight years has gone from a promising newcomer to the official IBF contender. Behind him are the intercontinental champion title, a confident victory over Jean Pascal in Canada, and the «mandatory challenger» status.
