Ildus Gabdulkhakov is a guy from Kueda who became a world champion. Merited Master of Sports of the USSR in sambo. Master of Sports of the USSR in judo. The story of a man who went from a rural section to the top of world sambo.

Biography

It all started in 1974. The village of Kueda in the Perm region. 12-year-old Ildus joined the judo section. First coach - Konovalov V.M. Service in the Soviet Army. After demobilization - move to Perm. 1983. Dynamo club, coach Luzin V.P.


From judo to sambo

  1. 1984 - silver at the Dynamo youth championship (Perm). Silver at the Russian Championship in Kursk.
  2. 1985 - victory at the RSFSR Dynamo championship (Volgograd). After this tournament, Ildus decided to switch to sambo.


Ascent

  1. 1986 - bronze at the USSR Cup (category up to 57 kg).
  2. 1987 - gold at the USSR Cup. Silver at the USSR Championship. Admission to the Chaikovsky branch of the Chelyabinsk Institute of Physical Culture. Move to Chaikovsky.
  3. 1988 - silver at the USSR Championship.
  4. 1989 - gold at the World Cup. Silver at the World Cup. Bronze at the USSR Championship.


1990 - Golden year. This season became the peak of his career:

  2. European Sambo Champion
  3. World Sambo Champion


Three main titles in one year. Title of Merited Master of Sports of the USSR (1990).


Completion

1992 - international judo tournament in Madrid. Silver. After this tournament, Ildus Gabdulkhakov ended his sports career.
