In the main event of UFC Fight Night 289, the Mexican stopped Raoni Barcelos at the mark. 1:38 of the fifth roundThe decisive factor was Rosas' powerful throw, after which the Brazilian was unable to continue the bout. The victory became the sixth in a row in the UFC for the 21-year-old fighter.
In the co-main event, Ailin Perez defeated Norma Dumont by unanimous decision. Luis Hernandez made a bright UFC debut, submitting Cedriques Dumas in just 57 seconds, and Tina Black became the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 34.
Rosas and Barcelos received one each. $100,000 for "Fight of the Night"The same bonuses for the best performances went to Luis Hernandez and Yazmin Jauregui. Five more fighters received additional payments of $25,000 for early victories.
After this victory, Rosas continues to move up quickly in the bantamweight division — before the tournament he was ranked 12th in the UFC rankings.
