Absolute Championship Akhmat

The organization began its journey under the name «Absolute Championship Berkut» (ACB). The first tournaments took place in 2014 and quickly made a name for themselves with a high level of organization. In 2018, the promotion underwent a major rebranding and was renamed Absolute Championship Akhmat - in honor of the first President of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat Kadyrov. This change emphasized the league's status as the flagship of Russian MMA.

By 2026, ACA has held more than 230 tournaments. The organization's database includes about 2,500 fighters. The league operates in a monthly events format - 20 to 25 events per year. The geography of tournaments extends beyond Russia: events have been hosted by Poland, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and European countries. Major arenas - «Luzhniki» (Moscow), «Basket-Hall» (Krasnodar), «Coliseum» (Grozny).

ACA is known for its grand prix in various weight classes. Winners receive not only the title but also large prize bonuses. Contract purses for title fights reach 1 million dollars. The league supports its own reserve training academy - Young Eagles. This project develops athletes from 14 to 21 years old and serves as a talent feeder for the main league.

Through the ACA cage have passed names known worldwide. Magomed Ismailov - his fights in the league have become classics of Russian MMA. Artem Frolov - multiple champion and one of the most technical fighters in the organization. Felipe Froes - Brazilian heavyweight, long-time champion in the heavyweight division. Abdul-Aziz Abdulvakhabov - dominated lightweight for several years. Murad Abdulaev - star of the featherweight division. The league was also represented by the Vartanyan brothers, Alexey Polpudnikov, Vladimir Mineev (in the early stages).

The league's president is Alexey Yatsenko. He oversees the sports policy and promotion development since its founding. The honorary founder and patron is the Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.

ACA has become a platform where fighters either end their careers at a high level or use the league as a springboard to transition to UFC and Bellator. The organization maintains independence and stable funding, which allows it to retain top fighters in the roster even amid international isolation of Russian sports.
