Cups and medals of the jubilee tenth OSE "Height 776" tournament

🥊On March 14, 2026, the jubilant tenth interregional OSЕ tournament "Height 776" took place in Kursk. The competitions were held in memory of the 6th company of the 104th Guards Red Banner Airborne Regiment of the 76th Pskov Airborne Division.

172 athletes aged 8 to 17 took to the tatami. The participants' geography covered seven cities in the region: Kursk, Oboyan, Zheleznogorsk, Poniry, Giryi, Medvenka, Korenevo.

The number 776 is not a random set of digits. In 2000, the 6th company of Pskov paratroopers engaged in an unequal battle in Chechnya. The feat became a symbol of courage for the entire army. The tournament in Kursk has been held for ten years. For the organizers, this is not just a sports event. It is a way to pass the baton of memory to the new generation. Teenagers step onto the mat not only for medals—they step out with an understanding that the history of the country stands behind them.

Tournament opening

The tournament was opened by Vasily Ivanovich Khalamonik—retired Airborne Forces colonel, Afghanistan veteran, chairman of the Kursk branch of the "Union of Paratroopers." When a person with combat experience takes the floor, the hall falls silent. Vasily Ivanovich reminded the audience about the anniversary of the liberation of Sudzha and the trials that befell their fellow countrymen.

Special guests

The honorary guests of the tournament were participants in the "Kursk. Heroes" project. When a teenager sees people with real biographies in front of them, it works better than any motivational speech. Such meetings set the vector for development.

🏆 Team standings results

The competition was intense. Kursk clubs took gold in both categories, but the gap between the prize-winners was minimal. In individual matches, the outcome was decided by seconds and judges' points.

Category 8-11 years:

🥇 1st place - KBE "Champion" (Kursk)

🥈 2nd place - Sports Center (Medvenka)

🥉 3rd place - Kursk Academy of Martial Arts

Category 12-17 years:

🥇 1st place - Kursk Academy of Martial Arts

🥈 2nd place - VSK "BU-DO" (Zheleznogorsk)

🥉 3rd place - Center "Rus" (Kursk)

The age range is serious—from elementary schoolchildren to high school students. For some, it was their debut at serious competitions. For others, it was a stage of preparation for the all-Russian starts.

Kursk has solidified its status as one of the key cities on the calendar. The next stage is regional qualifiers for the all-Russian final. Some of these athletes will reach a new level in a year. Some will stay in the hall and become coaches. But they will remember March 14, 2026, for a long time.
